Providing individuals and families therapeutic support in resolving addictive behaviors, co-occurring disorders, co-dependency, and stressful life transitions.
As a Clinical Addiction Social Worker, I specialize in empowering individuals to recover from addictive behaviors via supportive counseling and psychotherapy. With an extensive working knowledge of diverse recovery approaches, including family recovery, I feel privileged to help individuals with substance use disorders and their families create change and enjoy productive, meaningful lives.
As research shows, addicted individuals often struggle with additional challenges, such as trauma, grief, and mental health disorders and I recognize that quality treatment must be comprehensive to include treatment of these issues and the addictive behaviors. I achieve this by creating individualized recovery plans with each individual, tailoring each to the person’s wants and needs.
"Be the change that you wish to see in the world."
- Mahatma Gandhi -
In addition to treating substance use disorders, I treat co-occurring disorders, co-dependency, as well as stressful life transitions using cognitive behavioral therapy techniques, motivational interviewing, as well as principles from solution-focused therapy. I provide comprehensive client assessments as well as clinical supervision to other professionals in the therapy field. The guiding philosophy of my practice is that all individuals can get well regardless of their circumstances. If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.
